My Story

You’ve reached the personal webspace of one Daniel Buckmaster. I’m a student at the University of Sydney studying a combined degree in mechatronic engineering and computer science. My interests range from parkour and photography, through programming and AI, to fantasy and punk rock.

Torque 3D

Torque 3D is an open-source game engine that I have been working with since 2006. I have yet to make a full game, but I’m getting there!

Since about the start of 2012, I’ve been working hard on integrating the Recast/Detour library with Torque 3D. The result is a product which you can check out (and maybe even purchase!) here.

GarageGames ran a series of community contests in 2010. The only contest I entered involved making a small multiplayer game demo in a month. GLOVES was my entry. The game as it stands is very underdeveloped, but I’m keen to work on it further... when time allows!
